"If you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life", said Marc Anthony. It is imperative to remember this quote. However, somewhere along the way we seem to forget this. As time goes on, our passions are left behind and ambition replaces them. We all aspire to be rich, successful and respected. Sure, why not? I agree that making a living is important. But, in the process shall we forget things that make us joyous, things we are passionate about? Imagine sitting in a closed office all day long, doing a job that does not bring you happiness?
My dear I hate to break it to you, but we have one life, no do overs and limited time. Why waste our one shot living someone else's life, a life that we do not want? Live life the way you want. Do not let the opinions of others overpower your individuality. Everyone is different. Not every human wants to be a doctor, engineer or businessman. Someone may have aspirations to become a musician, designer or author. There is no fixed path one must take, we can do whatever we want to, be who we want to and most importantly do what we want to. So, go ahead and live life the way you want to. Life is a gift and we must remember to treat it like one<3
I, for one, love to read and write. I prefer the fictional world to the real one at times. It helps my imagination. It surely gives me wings to fly and explore the world. I spend hours daily absorbed in literature. When I'm reading time surely flies by. I don't know what stress looks like as I get embroiled into fantasy. Some individuals argue that reading is not productive since it has no use in real life. People feel pursuing literature is not an actual career and will ultimately lead to failure. Despite such comments, I still do what I love- reading.
True to my nature as I started reading early. I am told that I was handed my first cloth book when I was 3 months old. Many a times I rolled onto my stomach and peered into my book. P.S. I still do that. If anyone says they don't like to read, I wittily turn around and retort, "Maybe you haven't picked up the right book yet." Now I'm not saying that each and every one of us must be a voracious reader; all I want is for you to take out time for yourself and figure out what you truly love doing. After all, our passions are what make life truly exciting! What are you passionate about? Leave a comment to let me know<3
